Colorado's Big Head Todd & the Monsters have been touring and recording for the better part of two decades, trekking from college towns to major cities to play for a sizable cult following. In the early '90s, with 1993's Sister Sweetly, the trio finally sold a million records. After that Todd Park Mohr and his musical mates returned to the usual touring and recording. The Monsters' discography boasts 10 releases, including the new From the Archives Vol. 1, a collection of demos and early studio tracks. The disc, on the Monsters' own Big Records, showcases the core of the group's blues-, jazz- and jam-inspired pop.
